In our recent NEWS issue, we feature an article on one of our specialty's most influential figures, Prof. Ulrich T. Hinderer, who had a considerable impact in helping shape and promote aesthetic surgery as we know it today. He was also ISAPS' past President (1975 to 1977) and Co-Founder and Editor of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal (APS).  

We also received a wonderful contribution from Dr. Barbara H. Barcaro Machado, who shared her insights on Ivo Pitanguy, known to many as the "Professor."  Machado benefited from his mentorship and guidance, and she invites us to see Pitanguy on a more personal level.
