ISAPS Expert Program

The ISAPS Expert Program offers ISAPS Resident members the opportunity to attend a specialized intensive one-on-one training program with a long-serving ISAPS member who is recognized as being a leader in their field.

What can the ISAPS Expert Program offer?

The program offers one-on-one advanced training for ISAPS Resident and Associate Members who want to learn from leading experts at a time that suits both you and the ISAPS Expert. Whether you have 2 days or 2 months, this experience is tailored to your needs.

Advanced Education

The primary goal of the program is to provide advanced clinical education in aesthetic surgery. 

Exposure

The exposure to different aspects of plastic surgery in this program will be unsurpassed and difficult to come by in any other setting.

Flexibility

Unlike our Fellowship Program, the Expert Program is designed to fit your schedule and the availability of the ISAPS Expert - the timing of your visit is negotiable. Coordinate a time that works for both of you and start planning your visit. Since availability differs between experts, be sure to check each ISAPS Expert's page for their specific availability before making your decision.

Eligibility

This program is open to all ISAPS Resident and Associate members.

Requirements

To complete an application the following is required: A complete application form that includes your chosen expert, reasons why you would like to visit your chosen expert, the dates you suggest you want to start your visit, the duration you suggest you want your visit to last, an official letter of recommendation from your training director or head of department, your CV and a photo of yourself.

Submission Date

There is no deadline for this program. You can submit your application once it is completed.

Review and Approval Stage

Your application will be reviewed by the ISAPS Expert, who will assess your proposed dates and duration in relation to their schedule. If the suggested timeframe works, your application will be approved. If adjustments are needed, the ISAPS Expert will suggest alternative dates for you to consider. The visit will only be approved once both parties agree on suitable dates.

Visit Preparation

Once you have agreed on dates and duration with your chosen ISAPS Expert, you can begin making visa arrangements if needed and other travel plans to visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

This program does not have an application deadline. Applications are reviewed upon submission on a case-by-case basis.

In order to apply for the ISAPS Expert Program, you must either be an ISAPS Resident or Associate member. Make sure to check out your chosen Expert's profile page to ensure you also meet their eligibility.

The ISAPS Expert Program is provides a more flexible opportunity that suits your schedule and our available ISAPS Experts' schedule. You can visit from 2 days up to 2 months. You can be sure of your preferred ISAPS Expert availability by checking out their profiles above.

While the ISAPS Fellowship Program runs on a quarterly basis as a fixed 3-month stay in the country of the fellowship host, and cannot be customised.

You can visit more than one ISAPS Expert in a year providing you have completed your previous visit, submitted a new application for your next, and are committed to embarking on it. 

You are not allowed to apply to the same ISAPS Expert in a year. Doing this, reduces opportunities for others who would like to apply to that ISAPS Expert. 

Interested in Becoming an ISAPS Expert?

In order to become an ISAPS Expert, you must:

  • have been an active member of ISAPS for at least 5 years;
  • be board certified for at least 10 years;
  • provide evidence of scientific talks and publications.
