The Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery was founded in 1948 in São Paulo, with the aim of promoting and improving the study of plastic surgery in Brazil. Today, the SBCP is made up of approximately 6,700 plastic surgeons, including associates and aspiring members. To join the SBCP, the applicant must be a doctor with a three-year specialization in general surgery and three additional years in plastic surgery (in a service accredited by the SBCP and/or MEC), and pass a written and oral exam. Regular scientific meetings are held where members can update their scientific knowledge.

The Bulgarian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BulAPRAS) was established in 2000 and all. of its members are certified, plastic surgeons. The Czech Society of Aesthetic Surgery (CZMA) is an association of plastic surgeons who primarily specialise in the treatment of aesthetic problems associated with body image and shape. For this reason, only plastic surgeons who have passed a respective qualification examination can become members of the society. The goal of serving aesthetic plastic surgeons has always been the philosophy of EASAPS: They are extending this goal to ESAPS and reaching out to all trained plastic surgeons in Europe. They decided to introduce new items for the recognition of European Aesthetic Plastic Surgery by creating the Co-Society ESAPS, with the same Board and same adapted by-laws, that will allow them to also support the Individual Plastic Aesthetic Surgeons that could not be reached in other ways.
The European Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery is the the umbrella organisation of all European national societies. Its aim is to increase connections amongst the different European National Societies through European meetings, National appointed meetings, ESPRAS Fellowships, European plastic surgery reviews and other tools. Each member of Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and Aesthetic society in Europe is therefore a member of ESPRAS (over 7000 members) by default.

The purpose of the Association of Finnish Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (SEP) is to promote the education and scientific, practical and professional development of aesthetic plastic surgery in Finland, as well as the collegial cooperation of its members. The purpose of the association also includes keeping in touch with similar foreign associations and creating interaction with them. To fulfill its purpose, the association organizes training events, participates in the organization of national and international meetings as needed, and distributes grants to promote aesthetic plastic surgery. In addition, the association gives statements and makes presentations, organizes meetings, seminars and presentation events.

The French Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (SOFCEP) is a scientific society of surgeons qualified by the National Council of the Order of Physicians and mainly practice aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, however, all surgeons qualified in plastic surgery by the National Council of the Order are not necessarily members of SOFCEP. The members of SOFCEP are bound to a rigorous ethical duty vis-à-vis the public. In addition, the members of our Society are committed to ongoing training and the regular exchange of their knowledge. Finding a surgeon through SOFCEP guarantees that the surgeon is qualified via rigorous training and undergoes regular professional updating, and abides by the rules of practice defined in the SOFCEP charter.

The Hellenic Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (HESPRAS), founded in 1969, is a non-profit Scientific Association and represents the majority of plastic surgeons in Greece. The main objective of HESPRAS is the promotion of the specialty by the dissemination and strengthening of research, the organization of all kinds of scientific events, the cooperation with other scientific bodies in Greece and abroad, the supervision and faithful observance of laws and regulations concerning the duties and rights of Plastic Surgeons, and its participation in all scientific matters concerning the specialty.

The Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Guatemala (ACPERG) is a non-profit scientific association, whose main objective is to ensure the professional quality of its associates, their ethical and moral principles, correct performance and adequate education. ACPERG is recognized and endorsed by the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Guatemala, the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery (FILACP), the International Confederation of Plastic Surgery Societies (ICOPLAST), which makes it the only body representing plastic surgery in their country. Currently, the Association of Plastic Surgery of Guatemala works tirelessly to provide its associates with resources that allow them to stay at the forefront of surgery, permanently organizing education and updating events in order to maintain the highest standards in ethics, safety and responsibility in Guatemala.

The Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (IAAPS) is the only representative organisation of qualified Plastic Surgeons practising Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in India whose members have special interest in improving how you look. They are dedicated to the promotion of highest professional standards and technical skills in cosmetic surgery. It is their duty to educate the regional public about cosmetic surgery along with benefits as well as limitations. They also offer all options to a given patient and help them choose an option to suit their needs. Plastic surgery in Indonesia was initiated by the late Professor Moenadjat Wiratmadja. Members of lnaPRAS (PERAPI in Indonesia) have a regular charity program to do surgeries for patients with cleft lip and palate problems all over Indonesia. There are various foundations (local and international) that usually give donations for these surgeries. Another mission of PERAPI is to prepare its members for the globalization and free trade of AFTA by introducing its members in seminars, talkshows and annual scientific meetings. PERAPI members also actively give education for general practitioners and other specialists through several established programs in their branches every year, such as JBWC (Jakarta Burn Congress and Wound Conference), Joglosemar Craniofacial Forum and many more.

The Iranian society of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeons was established in 1955 with the help of pioneers in this field and has been benefited by training of world-renowned scholars such as Professor Paul Tessier, Joe Murry (Nobel Laureate), and Professor Mission. The current organization of this association includes elite surgeons who have completed a full course of general surgery and will complete a full course of plastic surgery after completing a full specialty course of general surgery. After which they will receive the degree of plastic specialist (plastic surgeon).

The Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons (IAPS) is a group of fully-accredited plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons, and the Voice of Plastic Surgery in Ireland. It is the only body of plastic surgeons recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), and The Medical Council. IAPS aims to promote awareness and understanding of the work done by plastic surgeons, and with the RCSI, is responsible for training future plastic surgeons.

The Israeli Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery is the official and only body that represents the experts in plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in Israel. The association includes members who work in all areas of plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, and provide services in the public, private and community sectors. The association is under the supervision of the Israel Medical Association, and the Scientific Council that approves the specialist degree and the Ministry of Health.

AICPE was the first all-Italian aesthetic plastic surgery association to come into formation. Their mission is the promotion of training in aesthetic plastic surgery, the development and encouragement of best practice, professional and ethical conduct, the establishment of strong relationships with international associations, promotion of better understanding of cosmetic plastic surgery and the dissemination of renewing knowledge to the members of the association.
SICPRE is motivated by the development of Plastic Surgery, fostering Members education and training and providing the best scientific information for the general public on all the topics related to the different aspects of the specialty. SICPRE runs a range of activities, largely for plastic surgeon members - furnishing an annual CME training program aimed at preparing guidelines to regulate diagnosis and treatment, advertising clinical trials in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, Regions, Teaching Hospitals and other public Healthcare Institutions.

The Japan Society of Cosmetic Surgery (JSAPS) comes under the branch of the Japan Society of Orthopedic and Plastic Surgery, which was established in January 1977, and aims to contribute to the development of cosmetic surgery and the welfare of the people. Since 1983, the Swedish Association for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has organized specialists in plastic surgery. Our members have at least five years of service, training in the field as well as their own experience and knowledge of the various aesthetic interventions. All members must further their education annually, partly through training days organized by the association, and partly by participating in international courses and congresses.

Founded in 2012, the Swiss Society for Aesthetic Surgery SAS is the official representation of specialist surgeons with certified training (FMH) in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. The members of this society have a particular focus on aesthetic surgery that represents the majority of their medical activity. The mission of the Swiss Aesthetic Surgery Society is to offer education in aesthetic surgery, to enhance patient safety and to maintain the level of excellence of aesthetic surgery in Switzerland.
When you choose a doctor who is a member of the Swiss Plastic Surgery Association, you can rest assured that he or she is ideally qualified for your procedure. He or she holds the official, protected title of specialist in plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. This title is recognised by the Swiss Confederation and the EU, and certifies that the doctor in question has undergone at least 6 years (and frequently up to 10 or 12 years) of postgraduate training, including the planning and performance of all current procedures in plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. To be awarded the specialist title, the candidate must have performed a defined minimum number of various types of operations, have passed a Swiss and European examination in the speciality, held presentations and published papers. The title also guarantees that the holder regularly attends courses and congresses for the purpose of further training.

The Taiwan Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (TSAPS) was founded and established by senior members of Taiwan Society of Plastic Surgery in order to advance aesthetic plastic surgery in Taiwan since 1994. TSAPS owns the leading authority as well as the top rank in academic achievement. During the past two decades, TSAPS has been making every effort to stimulate and carry forward the research, education, and to set up the highest standards and competence of qualified plastic surgeons in aesthetic surgery in Taiwan.

Emirates Plastic Surgery Society was established as a non-profit organization, consisting of Plastic Surgeons who have a scientific certificate in Plastic Surgery. We had merely started with a hand few of members and over the years, the membership has increased tremendously.
United Kingdom
BAAPS is solely dedicated to safety and education in cosmetic surgery, and which represents the vast majority of NHS-trained Consultant Plastic Surgeons in private practice.
BAAPS Members have completed the highest level of training available in their field, and keep up to date with surgical advances by attending scientific meetings in the UK and abroad and participating in specific association activities like the BAAPS annual audit.
United States of America
The Aesthetic Society is comprised of over 2,600 Plastic Surgeons; Active Members are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (USA) or by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and have extensive training in the complete spectrum of surgical and nonsurgical aesthetic procedures. International Active Members are certified by equivalent boards of their respective countries.
Venezuela
The SVCPREM is a non-profit scientific society, whose main objective is to increase the study and dissemination of plastic surgery in Venezuela, as well as to ensure its ethical principles. The SVCPREM is recognized and endorsed by the Venezuelan Medical Federation, which makes it the only body representing plastic surgery in our country. Being a member of this society guarantees support from the point of view of professional training. This is particularly important due to the large number of doctors with inadequate training in this area, and who dare to perform surgical procedures without being duly accredited as plastic surgeons.
