As a Society committed to the advancement of aesthetic plastic surgery, ISAPS offers many educational opportunities for individuals in the specialty, and the Fellowship Program is just one of many of these initiatives.     

Dr. Maria Wiedner, the Fellowship Program Coordinator, had this to share: 

“With ISAPS being a leader in aesthetic education worldwide, it is a great pleasure for me to lead the Fellowship Program and to see this initiative evolving. We now offer more than 52 fellowships yearly in more than 15 clinics worldwide.  

Previous fellows report that each of their residents is a huge benefit and receives hands-on plastic surgery learning time. In addition, participants learn many special surgical techniques and are educated on non-invasive techniques and additional treatments.  

Residents choose their hosts across the world by individualized specialties. Only very experienced and academically active experts are selected to offer ISAPS Fellowships, ensuring our young colleagues get the best education.  

Our central office is working to streamline the application process, and in the future, we hope to offer several application dates throughout the year. Currently, we have one application deadline, which is May 1, 2023, for 2024. 

So, for all interested young colleagues, please send your application form via our website as soon as possible. The selection process will occur over the summer, and allocation information and waitlist details will happen in the fall.
