In our continuous endeavor to increase guidance and patient awareness, ISAPS has just published two new communications in the series of ISAPS Patient Safety Statements. The first one is on "Illegal Use of Injectable Silicone for Body Contouring and Associated Health Risks", by our leading team of individuals, chaired by Drs. Gustavo Schenone and Douglas Narvaez Riera, and our ISAPS Patient Safety Committee Chair, Dr. Montserrat Fontbona.

Additionally, another update on “Counterfeit Prescription Medications That Contain Fentanyl And Patient Safety", has just been released in a joint statement with The Aesthetic Society. This effort was led by Dr. Mark Jewell, and Dr. Montserrat Fontbona, Chair of the ISAPS Patient Safety Committee.
