Please welcome Dr. Barbara Villanustre, the Assistant National Secretary from Argentina! During a brief Q&A, we learned what her new role signifies.

"My primary goals revolve around advancing our national contributions to global aesthetic standards, promoting educational initiatives, and strengthening international collaborations. 

A key priority is to increase the number of Argentinian members within ISAPS. We plan to achieve this by actively promoting the benefits of membership, such as access to cutting-edge research, global networks, and exclusive educational opportunities. By showcasing the value of ISAPS membership at national conferences and through targeted outreach to local surgeons, we can make ISAPS more appealing and relevant to the plastic surgery community in Argentina.

We plan to organize education programs, including the visiting professor program, workshops, and seminars, to ensure that Argentinian plastic surgeons remain at the forefront of innovative techniques and global best practices. These events will offer knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities, benefiting both experienced and emerging professionals.

We aim to elevate Argentina's presence on the global stage. By increasing our participation in international conferences and research, we can contribute to shaping the future of aesthetic surgery while learning from our global peers, and that’s why we are very actively inviting our colleagues to take action and submit their work and abstracts for the ISAPS Olympiad World Congress in Singapore before the October deadline. 

Through active participation in ISAPS meetings, collaboration with other national secretaries, and organizing regional events that align with the society's mission, we will not only meet our goals but also contribute significantly to the advancement of our profession on both a national and international level."
