Dr. Tiago Baptista-Fernandes, a certified Plastic Surgeon, hails from a lineage deeply rooted in Plastic Surgery, with his grandfather being a trailblazer in the field in Portugal. Commencing his training in 2002 at the renowned Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon, he further honed his skills through post-graduate training across Europe, Latin America, and primarily the USA.
Dr. Baptista-Fernandes, the founder of Up Clinic, which holds Quad A accreditation, operates branches in Lisbon and Algarve. Renowned for his innovative approaches in Plastic Surgery, he has introduced various techniques to Portugal, including S.A.F.E. Liposuction (by Simeon Wall), HD Liposuction (by Alfredo Hoyos), High SMAS and Deep Plane Facelift, Full Face Endoscopic Surgery, and the Anet technique.
Supported by a team consisting of 3 plastic surgeons and 2 aesthetic doctors, Dr. Baptista-Fernandes offers comprehensive training for young residents, fostering hands-on learning opportunities. At Up Clinic, residents can gain experience in pre- and post-treatments, as well as various Aesthetic Medicine procedures. Additionally, participation in scientific research papers is encouraged.
The visit can last for 1-2 months.
The visitor must be a resident in plastic surgery or a fully trained plastic surgeon with a specialist certificate. The visitor must also have a Civil Insurance Certificate.
The ISAPS Expert program does not provide a salary.
Housing will not be provided during your visit in Lisbon or Azores but an accommodation can be provided in the Algarve.
