You have the opportunity to spend a 3-month fellowship at the esteemed private clinic of Drs. Tonnard and Verpaele in Ghent, Belgium. As a fellow, your presence is required at all surgeries conducted by either Dr. Tonnard or Dr. Verpaele, while assisting other plastic surgeons is optional but recommended. Additionally, you're encouraged to engage in writing clinical papers during your fellowship, with junior authorship granted..

Accommodation

There is an apartment available for the fellow at an approximate cost of €500 per month.

Visas and Work Permits

Applicants must check visa requirements of the country they plan to visit before applying for the ISAPS Fellowship Program.

Licensure

Licensure is required. It is only with a valid license that you will be able to perform hands-on tasks throughout the fellowship.

Transportation

The fellows will have the use of a car. To be allowed to drive this car here, you will need an international driver’s license. Make sure you acquire this before travelling.

During a fellowship, the fellow can anticipate observing the following subjects and techniques:

  • Facial Rejuvenation
  • MACS Facelift
  • Aesthetic Lower/Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty
  • Brow and Forehead Lift
  • Lipofilling
  • Rhinoplasty

The following are guidelines for fellows:

  • Fellows can utilize the library for reading but cannot borrow journals or books.
  • Fellows are advised to take their own doctor's apron for a more comfortable fit.
  • Fellows must know their surgical duties.
